Edaville Festival of Lights
Tis the Season to put down that wrapping paper, close up those gifts, and take some family time to enjoy the crisp air, the flurries in the wind, the taste of hot chocolate and the beautiful lights of the holidays.
One long time favorite destination to see the lights and get into the spirit is at the Edaville Festival of Lights in Carver, MA. Even before I partnered with Edaville, I’ve been going every year they have been open (and some of those years were back in the 80s!)
From November 20 through January 1, Edaville is transformed into a winter wonderland of holiday delights for the FESTIVAL of LIGHTS! Guests can ride the trains in warm comfort through a spectacular holiday setting featuring an explosion of twinkles. Kids of all ages will enjoy an array of vintage amusement rides and a visit with Santa in one of our indoor play areas. Stay for a delicious full meal or enjoy seasonal treats while roaming the sprawling and beautifully decorated grounds.
Other than the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas), in which they are closed, Edaville will be open seven days a week. During the week it will be open from 4-9pm and on the weekends from 3:30-9:30pm.
Tickets have gone up to $29 per person (compared to the $20 last year.) However, the admission price includes the new Thomasland and lots of new rides! Kids are free (if aged under 2), and Seniors are $26 a person. Follow Edaville on Facebook for giveaways and special deals!
There some special tickets deals right now. For example, you can get a two day regular admission pass for $50. There are also tickets for a VIP Santa experience. You can enter the park an hour earlier on select dates, get a 20 minute train ride with Santa, and every paying child will receive one on one time with Santa, a special wrapped gift from Santa, an exclusive Edaville USA ornament and a VIP Edaville back pack. The cost is $44 – or $29 admission with an extra $15 for the experience. If you want the goodies for children under two, who are free for admission to Edaville, the cost is $15. The Santa VIP train leaves at 2:30pm on November 21st & 28th, December 5th & 6th, 12th & 19th.
There is also the Polar Express experience, which you can read about my family’s experience here. The cost is $47 for each regular ticket. Kids under 2 are free and no special ticket is required. Dates are November 30th- December 29th, Mondays & Tuesdays: 5:00PM-6:00PM & 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.
I highly recommend buying the special experience tickets as soon as possible as they do sell out. I also recommend buying any ticket online to avoid long lines when you arrive. You can buy and see all the ticket types here.
All in all, going to the Edaville Festival of Lights is a great holiday activity that really shouldn’t be missed. I’m also happy to be able to give away two regular admission tickets to the Edaville Festival of Lights. Note that it is only for two regular admission tickets for 2015 and does not include the Santa VIP or Polar Express experiences, and is not valid on Saturdays. Full rules and deadlines can be found in the giveaway form. You must select the date you want to attend and the tickets will be at will call on that day. The more options you chose to enter the giveaway, the greater your odds of winning. And thanks for supporting my social media accounts and Metrowest Mamas!
Good luck and Happy Holidays!
