Instead of having a movie party at home, how about having it at a movie theater? Showcase Cinemas has movie parties for up to 20 guests!
Bouncy Houses and Gymnastics parties are always a huge hit with the younger crowd. Planet Gymnastics in Acton is a fun place to tumble and practice a hand stand or two. (Per feedback from users, the Framingham location is not recommended due to complaints about staff.) Also check out Exxcel Gymnastics in Newton, Gymnastics Express in Natick or Shen's Gymnastics Academy in Hollison.
If you are looking for inflatable bouncers, Jump Around in Framingham is a bouncy house bonanza!
Kidville, with its two locations in Massachusetts, is great for babies and toddler birthday bashes. Even celebrities are known to have their kid parties at Kidville. No wonder they are legendary. From planning to execution with various themes to pick from, Kidville handles all the work so you can relax and enjoy the celebration too.
For outdoor parties, consider one of the many wonderful farms in the area. Whether it is apple picking and hay rides in the fall, or animals in the summer, there are many options from which to choose. Some to note are Honey Pot Hill and Shelburn Farm in Stow, Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, Belkin Lookout Farm in Natick and the Natick Organic Farm in Natick.
There is another great birthday party space that is great for children with sensory issues. It is called Boston Ability Center in Wellesley and up to 15 children can attend the party and play in a ball pit, on swings, in hammocks, zip-lines, tree house, trampoline and more.
The Discovery Museums in Acton is a great place to play and learn during your party. From little kids to big kids, there is something for everyone with unlimited time in the Science or Children’s Museums, and even a magician! Book your party during the week and save 50%.

Whimsy is another crafty creative celelebratory spot in Framingham MA that can host up to 50 people. A fellow Metrowest Mama stated that they did everything and all she had to do was take pictures! They even packed all the gifts and loaded them in the car, and the leftover food is also consolidated and packed to take home.
If you have a sports fan, how about a birthday party at Frozen Ropes in Natick with batting cages, balls and more, this party will truly be a ‘hit’. If you are looking for something truly unique, how about a rock climbing adventure or a fencing adventure?
Guard Up in Burlington offers Knights, Ninja, Pirate and Space Parties with safe foam sword or NERF Blasters, and costumed instructors. Really go over the top with a dragon or monster show up to do battles or explore the dark dungeons of a haunted castle or space station. Or climb high at the Boston Rock Gym in Waltham or Exxcel Gymnastics & Climing in Newton. Or head to the Little Flippers Swim School in Natick for a splash with a separate party room for cake after the dip! Both have showers are on hand for rinsing off!
Barefoot Books is another family favorite for kids 2-5 years old with arts, crafts and storytime based on a theme, or pick a pottery party package. Fellow Metrowest Mamas also mentioned some additional favorites like Blue Bunny Books in Dedham, Teamworks in Northboro and Action (and two other South Coast locations), Energy Fitness in Newton and Natick, and the Watertown Arsenal Art Center in Watertown. Most indoor play spaces in the Massachusetts area have party options too. Also check with your local YMCA or ask fellow parents of the kids in your children's preschool class, playgroup, or soccer camp where they go!
